I have this card for my 8560, and I put 4 MB of memory on it. Problem is, the ref disk recognizes the card, but POST does not seem to do any testing of the memory. In doing some more online searching, I found a link to something that discusses the "2-8MB Memory Expansion Option Diskette advanced diagnostics test and configuration information". The Ardent site says "This adapter provides 1 MB of memory expansion with LIM EMS Version 4.0 support for all PS/2 Models 50, 50Z, 55 SX, 60 and 65 SX." The ref disk has options 1 to 12 & 'none' as possible selections, but as I have zero real documentation on how the board is utilized, I'm at a loss as to what I may need to do to be able to get this working properly. If anyone has any info, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

As I just found out from a video on the IBM Museum YouTube channel, the 1MB SIMMs I bought for this board are not PS/2 compatible. So I'm going to 'attempt' to modify them to work on my memory board and see if I can get the system to recognize the memory. I suspect that most of the eBay sellers of SIMMs do not even realize there is any difference. I'm going to attempt to make the mod from what is posted on the Ardent Tool - https://www.ardent-tool.com/IBM_SCSI/SIMM_30_Mod.html

So, this is the change I'm going to 'attempt' to make. I'll post the results after I mod a couple of modules, since they have to be installed in pairs.....
