I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I didn't really search in the forum for the same question (because it's probably a stupid question).

Does the PS/2 keep time? My PS/2 doesn't. I noticed when I remove the battery I have to use the reference disk to be able to boot
my computer. And one of the requirements to boot the computer is to set the date/time. So it seems to me that my battery is Ok.

The computer remembers the date and time but when I shut it off and say start it back up on the next day it only remembers yesterdays
date/time. So what gives?

Sounds like the clock is only working while the computer is on which could be an indicator that the battery needs to be replaced.

I have seen 'clock not ticking when PS/2 powered off' before, on model 50's, and the answer then was to load DASDDRVR.SYS
See [here] and [here].

Thanks for the help!

I tried copying the DASDDRVR.SYS from the Reference Disk to C: drive and loaded it in my CONFIG.SYS but it didn't help.

I'll try the battery next.
