In case anyone is interested

Forums for specific equipment tend to get the chatty diehards more then the general type forums do (they also have better hits on google when looking for specific information).

Each type of place has it uses.

Not to blow his cover, but if it's who I'm thinking of, he's on here too.

Curt Vendel. I've never seen him on here, at least not by this name....but then again, I'm a C= head, rather than an Atari one. I never had an Atari computer....only the game systems.

No quiz needed. I'm sure he'll come forward if he wants to and if he ever sees the thread. . . :)

Hint: Curt has an online museum.

Anyway, I think of this forum as a meeting point for jack of all trades people. As soon as you need to get in deeper technical detail about a specific issue, you are more likely to find someone to talk to in another forum, like e.g. AtariAge or all the other dedicated places. If you on the other hand want a broader picture and not fancy narrow minded people who only respect their own system, here is a good place to be.

Yep, I'm all for first-name basis. :) But really, I can't recall any "religious" computer war going on in this forum, not any major one at least.

I like both, actually. Which is why I hit here, as well as there. I don't have a narrow vision of things(as I'm sure you know by now)...but sometimes a tech issue comes up, and it's nice to have a diverse set of people to ask.

BTW- Do you have the site of Curt's online museum? Or will Google pop it right up without all the garbage?
