If anyone is interested I have put a copy of Lurking Horror (DOS) onto CP/M for the Model 4. I have changed the interpreter file seek (borrowed from Zork 3 CP/M) to lurking with SU4. The game appears to run fine which is a positive start to a game that was not created for the TRS-80 (at least to my knowledge... which is not quite what it once was btw) :D

The data files were the same for all the systems so you could copy them and then patch the interpreter to use the new data file.

There's a patched interpreter for CP/M that allowed you to specify the data file to use.

Many thanks again... the data files I knew about but the modded loader would be great to have. That said, it was kind of fun to fire up SU4 and CP/M today... brought a little back. I'll take a look tomorrow for the modded loader unless some kind soul can point me there first. I think I'll spend a little time finalising a definitive library of Infocom titles able to run on the models I to IV (since I don't own a Model II or the rest of the family).

At the back of my mind I'm wondering how the interpreter will behave since the DOS version of Lurking Horrors contains 14 sound files... but if everything were simple, what would be the point?
