Is there a button somewhere that makes the forum more usable on older machines?

I've recently gotten my old iMac online again on Mac OS 9, (I'm writing this on it, so it's actually usable) but it's extremely cumbersome. I had to type the forum part in directly, since the main page didn't load correctly, and once on the main forum the text overlaps frequently. Is there an option somewhere that lightens the interface, or is the machine basically stuck using the forum this way? Thanks!

There is the mobile interface style which can set using the box on the lower left side of the page. Scroll down below the bookmarks. See if that works better.
