Is this the processor which goes into an IBM PS2 model 30 286?

Do you have the cache drivers enabled? Without them, the SX Now! Upgrade won’t improve performance, and is known to benchmark lower.

Yes. I have it enabled. And benchmark shows it's running at 20 mhz. But then topbenchmark shows slower RAM access and slower graphics card (can't remember exactly what it was called) than a regular 286 model 30. It also show some other numbers faster.

How large is the difference in the benchmarks?

One thing to remember about the 386sx is if you have most 386 memory managers (emm386 or whatever) enabled it's going to slow memory access down a little bit. This is an inevitable side effect of putting the CPU in VM8086 mode. You could try running Topbench without a memory manager present (himem.sys is probably okay) and see if the numbers for those scores effectively even out.

I´m not at the computer rigth now, but I will post numbers later. Hope you can take a look at it. See if it's ok, and within limits. :)

I´m running himem.sys only.

Perhaps the cache adds a little latency? In any case, unless it's a large difference I can't imagine any improvement in those scores you might get from replacing the original CPU would outweigh the loss in actual CPU performance.
