Isa card help

Look for drivers for the Western Digital chip set.

I know in the past, there were only a handful of companies which made chip sets for video cards. The drivers did not usually care who actually manufactured the card.

It's pretty much the most generic VGA card you can find. It'll do 640x480, 800x600, maybe 1024x768. Typically works fine with generic 'VGA' or 'SVGA' drivers. If you want specific, look for 90c30, PVGA, or Paradise. Dip switches on the bracket edge almost certainly specify the monitor refresh rate. Jumpers on board, IRQ enable? Installed Memory Size? Maybe 8/16-bit? My guess is, try it and it will work. If not, unlikely to damage anything.

Ive had good luck with later era cards doing that. So maybe just look for a generic driver for the chip and cross fingers. If not keep trying chip drivers till it functions.?

Well, currently the only 16 isa pc I have is a ps/1 with 512k cl chipset. I migt just pop this in and keep changing swithes/jumpers till it works. And maybe it'll say what it is during boot
