Are there any DOS ISA Plug-and-Play enablers for non-PnP BIOS? Something like Creative's CTCM.EXE but supporting generic devices, not just Creative sound cards. I want to use some new ISA PnP cards on old 286/386 motherboards.

Linux kernel has 'generic' ISA PnP initialization procedures.
Do you have the link to download? Hopefully it can run on my 286 or XT.
I am thinking to get my ISA PnP ESS sound card and modem to work with my 286/386. Still searching eBay for a non-PnP Sound Blaster card, but that's getting harder and harder to find.

For ESS Audiodrive you need ESSCFG.EXE
For that modem, I don't know, ICU may be helpful indeed...

Also, just uploaded it onto Trixter's FTP (as ICU.RAR), hopefully he moves it to the download section...

Always send me a message or email -- I don't check the incoming directory on a regular basis. I've moved it to ftp://ftp.oldskool.org/pub/drivers/UPnP Universal Plug And Play/ICU.RAR
(For quicker transfers, both dropbox and google drive are free, and can generate shareable links even for people who don't use those services)
