What is the front panel "10 MB READY" lamp supposed to connect to?

I have a Kaypro 10 with nothing connected to that LED. It has a replacement hard drive, so no clue there. I couldn't find any reference to it in the service manual. The service manual does have a picture of the front of the hard drive sub-chassis of the Kaypro 16, which shows a two conductor cable and connector coming from under the hard drive somewhere. As far as I know, MFM drives never had any connector for an external indicator LED.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of this?
 
My guess is that it goes to the hard drive controller board. Since Kaypro didn't document them, but rather purchased them from a third-party source, what model is your board?

But there's a difference between an activity LED and a "Drive Ready" LED.
