KayPro II and Aliens.com

Hi there! Finally got my KayPro II mostly up and running. I'm still working through a few bits of the restoration, but it's functionally working now. Most software I've tried have worked perfectly on it but I am having trouble with one program in particular. The Aliens.com Space Invaders clone. According to videos I've seen online, mine is using different letters to make up the on-screen elements. It's also scrolling the screen when the player ship is all the way at the bottom right corner which further corrupts the graphics.

I'm assuming this just plain isn't compatible with the KayPro II or maybe my ROM level? I found from various sources and tried a few versions with the same results. I'm looking for suggestions if anyone has anything I can try.

The issue reminds me of not properly setting a "mode" back in the DOS days. Problem is, since it's distributed as a COM file, I'd think it would do all of that sort of thing automatically.

I know some of those space invader clones had graphics and would only run properly on those Kaypros with graphics capabilities...like the Kaypro 4. I don't know if that's the case here but thought I'd mention it anyway.
