I've got two Kaypro computers in great shape that I just can't see hanging on to any longer.
The first is a Kaypro 4 with a Universal board. It has the real time clock option and the WD1001(?) interface area is fully populated so you could connect a FreHD to it. Both drives work. I'm including boot disks (copies of the original masters) as well as two replacement boot ROMs - a KayPlus ROM (http://www.microcodeconsulting.com/z80/kayplus.htm) and an Advent Turbo ROM. I've made working boot disks for the KayPlus ROM, but I don't know what the Advent requires - it doesn't appear to want to boot the original CP/M 2.2G boot disks that the stock ROM will boot.
Included is the Kaypro fabric "bag" for the machine.
Pics:
I'd like $125 for the machine.
The second Kaypro is a Kaypro 10 with a working 10MB hard disk. It does not include the RTC option, but does have a 1200 baud Hayes compatible smart modem installed.
I've got an Advent Turbo ROM burned for this machine as well, but like the 4/84 above, it won't boot from the hard disk with the Advent ROM installed.
As you can see from the photos below, the hard disk does work. I would recommend that the purchaser back up the contents /immediately/. While there's no evidence of imminent failure, I don't know how many boots that old hard disk has left in it.
As with the 4/84, it includes a Kaypro transport bag.
Pics:
I'd like $200 for this machine.
I'm located in Graham, WA and I will not ship these, so it's local pick up only. Sorry!
Thanks!
