Hello, a MINC system is up and running , but the VT105 is completely defective, water damage.
I'm looking for a VT105 terminal emulator to be able to run the MINC-Basic.
Does anyone have any hints? Thanks in advance.

Joerg?,
I have a MINC-23 running with the QBone which fits great in the module area of the backplane. Now that the QBone has the RL02/RT-11 disk image file transfer capability it has become a favorite platform for experimentation. If you haven't downloaded Malcolm's RL01 disk images that have the MINC Fortran Enhancement Package you should give that a look ( https://avitech.com.au/?page_id=3510 ). It also contains the RGL/11 subroutines
for VT125 (Regis). I have run the MINC with 11/03, 11/23 and 11/73 CPUs but I mostly use the 11/23. The BDV11 has 11/23+ ROMs but I use the QBone to boot drives now. Manuals for RGL/11, MINC's FEP packages, and VT125 programming is available at:

Also, there has been some work on getting MINC Basic moved from RX02s to RK05s. It is based on RT-11 V3 but I had some issues trying to get that running partly because RK05s were not really used on QBus RT-11. That is probably worth a revisit. The VT125 was used with later MINC-23 systems but it came after the MINC Basic that had support for the MINC lab modules.

Best,
Mark

Thanks for the links for MINC Basic and the Pico_1140 project! I'll take a look at them when I get back home.
It looks pretty interesting. On a VT105 emulation, I'll keep my eyes open but I don't recall seeing anything for it.

On a different topic, I recently started using a Basic-11 interpreter for RSX that Oleg made available. It is really
great to be able to run the same Basic-11 programs on RT-11 and RSX with no changes.

There is a rather questionable VT105 emulator at https://github.com/Isysxp/VT105.
This requires Visual Studio > 2019 to build. The interface is either via telnet or comm port.
This is very incomplete but sufficient to run quite a few of the MINC examples.

Apart from the project above, I have been unable to find any ReGIS terminal emulation for Gigi/VK100, VT125, VT240 etc...

Anyone with ideas or links would be greatly appreciated!

Robin
