I have a dual 5.25" floppy drive mechanism with a bad read head. Looking for anyone who may have broken dives to part out. I am looking for the head mechanism but would buy the whole drive for parts if available. Single sided or dual dead, doesnt matter please contact me.

The confusion comes from OP referring to full height as dual (height).

Nope dont need dual disk capability. Just looking for a replacement head for my shugart style drive. I do own one RX50 in my Dec rainbow but I was under the impression they had a strange pinout.

so a teac 55-fdc? Work with us here, what ver maybe I have parts! LOL Epson? Citizen? CDC? I need 2 black levers from Teac drives....

Look guys I am not trying to make this difficult.

Tandon TM100, Texas peripherals. any of these FULL HEIGHT floppy drives. I will find a way to shoe hort a working head in.

Ok guys I wasnt trying to be difficult or vague, I just didnt want to exclude anyone who may have had workable parts by going to much into brands. But this is the drive. I have been swapping parts with a tandon TM 100 as parts are interchangeable.

Dunno about Tandon, but I know Juggi was part of it. Maybe Tandy offered to fund it--that would certainly get his attention. I don't think he ever set up floppy drive manufacturing in India, however.

You'd better qualify that a bit. I've got a few Tandon FH drives, but they're either 100 tpi (TM100-4M) or 96 tpi (TM100-4). I don't think that I have a single 48 tpi one.
