Title says it all - the buttonware successor put out a pc-file for windows edition -- I really know nothing about it, but my dos pcfile does not seem to like win xp command prompt. worked ok with w98. thanks -- gb

digger -- I am not sure, rather computer illiterate - I have used it with w98 command prompt and it works ok, but does not seem to work well with xp -- for one thing it does not fill the window, only half. The page of info is there but squished in half vertically.
I am aware the pc-file for windows was produced by a later company after jim buttons sold out - have no idea if it works well or not -- thanks

I'll look into it. I've been emailed two lists of ~1000 RapidShare links each of assorted "very old software" and if I find what you're looking for I'll be sure to let you know (and I'll let you know if I don't find it too)

Edit: it appears I do not have the software. Sorry!

DOSBox is a free and open source DOS emulator, which often works better than the command prompt in Windows XP. It does not come with Windows. You have to download it separately.

You can download it and find instructions for it here:

http://www.dosbox.com/

Mounting directories and configuring it to work in full screen mode might be the only tricky parts for you. Just let me know if you have trouble getting it to work. Good luck! :)
