Hello,

Could it be possible to access to ODT from a M7264 LSI-11 CPU (first generation, not -BB, -YA, etc) when it is used with a DLV11 (M7940 or M8017 or M8028 or compatible hardware).

Thanks!

Jean-Pierre

As someone who fell into this trap and spent a lot of time debugging, I can confirm that this will not work. As far as I can tell, the M7264 needs some sort of memory to start up. I can't tell you if it needs to start at memory location 0 or not, but it needs to be there. Without it you won't get any ODT prompt. Some M7264s have RAM built into them, but it is usually disabled if the previous installation had an external memory board.

EDIT: I looked it up, and the plain M7264s usually have 4KW of RAM installed. If you make sure this is enabled and working, you should be able to access an ODT prompt with just a DLV11-compatable serial card.
