I have a MicroSolutions CompatiCard I that is complete in box. I've tested it and it works. It also comes with the 8" floppy drive adapter. I don't know if this adapter was originally included with it. This is really for a 386 or older. It'll work on newer machines, but you have to disable any fast cache. I discovered (and verified with another user who also owns one) that the card does not like 486 or newer with cache enabled. Works fine when cache is disabled.

You also need single device, non-twisted IDE cables. You connect 1 device per port on the card.

The card allows for up to 4 floppy drives per card, but the software does allow for more than one card installed.

This bundle includes:
  • Box in nice condition
  • CompatiCard I ISA card
  • 8" Floppy Drive Adapter
  • Driver Floppy Disk
  • Update Floppy Disk (OEM)
  • Manual (writing on cover, some writing and highlighting on the config page)
  • Additional Literature (registration card, addendum, advertisements)
One disk is the original driver, the other disk is an OEM update disk. The original owner must've sent out for the update disk, which is pretty neat.

Buyer pays shipping. Local pickup preferred.

Do be aware that the CC I and CC II (one is just the 2 drive version) uses different conventions for density select from the standard AT convention. Clearly, driver softare/BIOS ROM is required for this, but be aware that later OS platforms (e.g. Win9x, NT, OS/2) are blissfully ignorant of this card. Consider it as a DOS-only card.

(CopyQM, FormatQM and 22Disk are aware of this thing by using "COMPATICARD" keyword in the DISKETTE.CFG file.)

I'd like this! I'd love to have this in my collection of floppy controllers. DM sent.
