Motorola Powerstack II - AIX/Solaris/etc won't boot

I have a Powerstack II motherboard, which I'm planning to build in to a modified AT case, _IF_ I can get it to run something other than Windows NT. Solaris or AIX would be nice, but even OS/2 would be something!

However, so far, if I try to boot anything other than a Windows NT CD, I'm lumped with the following:

Windows NT works like a charm, so I'm reasonably happy that the hardware is all playing ball. It doesn't seem to be video card related either, since the corruption looks identical no matter what video card I try.

Any ideas?

Solaris won't install on powerstack II
For the AIX you'll need Bull Estrella/Motorola version of AIX and open firmware version >= 1.2
