I would like to transform about 3.2 boxes of cards (80 column, rectangular punch) to modern media. The cards have been stored in moderate temperature, low humidity for the past 40 years. I'm a private party and am willing to pay a reasonable fee.

Perhaps you could do this with a simple flatbed scanner, if somebody has written a progrm to "decode" the card image.

I've always regretted scrapping my 80col card reader (among other things) ;-)

Have you checked with the folks at CHM in Mountain View? I'm sure they'll know people locally who can help out.
