Mystery Card

Sure, thats easy. It's a Hard Drive controller card. Probably late 80s. I can't tell what type it is for *looks again* The white thing at the top right of the card almost looks like a power port. Is it yours, or one you found on the 'net?

EDIT: I think those labeled chips on the bottom may have something to do with the BIOS

:D

Yes- Hard drive controller card, I guessed, but it doesn't look IDE or MFM to me (50 pin).
Could it be scsi?

BTW: the top of the card reads that it IS an HD controller. Definatley not MFM. It MIGHT be SCSI, and likely not IDE. But I don't feel like counting pins, so who knows. Although, IDE can't be totally rulled out. Maybe the reason ther is two sets of pins is because it was meant for up to 2 HDs to be hooked up to it?

I counted 50 pins, that is why I started wondering- the other point is that it actually is a 'double board'- its two cards linked together (difficult to see on the picture, but there is one behind)

Double board? I'm stumped on that one...I suppose they are connected to eachother? Unless there are key features to the other board, and perhaps pics, I don't think I can be of too much further service for this particular board.

Well, thanks a lot for the effort already, much appreciated.
I hope I can get it, then I'll post some more pictures.

being that there appears to be two sets of each chip on the board i would think it controls two seperate harddrives.can't tell you if its ide or what?
