NEC 6001 not working.

Dear All,
just received a NEC 6001 not booting.
It hangs in the attached first photo.
After a while the screen changes a bit in the second type (with red bands).
I completely do not know these machines and I have not yet opened it: any suggestion on where to start?

Did you try the reset button on the back after powering it on to see if anything different happens?

I had a PC-6001 that turned on for 2 seconds and then died and it was one of the diodes in the power supply board. First thing I'd check is the voltages coming out of it.
