Hi Guys,

I stumbled upon a NEC 7811G microcontroller, it seems 7811G is the ROMed version.

However datasheet I found are not 100% clear on the use of pins MODE0 and MODE1 , the say that in the 7811 MODE0 SHOULD be grounded ( note SHOULD not MUST ) while MODE1 SHOULD be pulled up.

This would create a configuration saying that "internal register ( in rom ? ) memory mapping determines the memory map".

However it's NOT clear IF they could be set someway else, like for example 1,1 that would disable internal rom.

Question is, does anybody know IF it's possible for example to set them some other value and say "forget the internal rom" and/or a 7811 is destined to be a ROMed version forever ?
