Hello to VCFED. I have been reading the posts about Commodore Pet and the fantastic help given to members who need help.
We first started using a Pet in the 1980's running an accounts preparation program called Auditman. This program was supplied by Computers Services Midlands (CSM) in Birmingham, England, and was a brilliant and easy to use program. CSM was taken over by Sage and we were expecting a Windows version of Auditman. Instead Sage just closed down CSM and abandoned Auditman, and wanted users to switch to their own programs. I still use Auditman today on a Windows 98 laptop as it needs DOS to run.
I don't have the Auditman program disk for the Pet anymore.
One thing I have learned is that the Pet is a very tough and hardy machine and will stand up to fierce abuse.
