Sorry for the crummy webcam pic, some jerkoff stole my digital camera (and my ipod ) out of my car last Tuesday...

Found this sucker sitting on a book shelf, still shrinkwrapped, in a friend's house. This is the 286->486 model, fits a PLCC socket. The CPU is a TI486SLC/E running at (I think) 33MHz. I had actually purchased one on eBay a few months ago and never received it, so it was nice to get this one for free. Now if I only had a 286 to install it in....

Also picked up an ASUS 386 Motherboard with an Am386DX40 stuck in it, free off a post on here (thanks BarbOnline!). It came with a fullsize desktop case and two FDDs but it's missing the top cover so I might have to migrate it to another home.

I know, I know....not the most exciting stuff but I'm thrilled about it!!

New toys are always worth getting exctied over, good for you! I've never seen that 486 upgrade, and shrinkwrapped no less. Score for you!

LOL I'm not exactly sure what to make of this comment...are you implying that one of my friends orchestrated some kind of conspiracy to have me purchase an antiquated $5 part on eBay, then never mail it to me...or perhaps steal my mail and then stick said part on a bookshelf in his parent's house and happily let me take it off his hands? I think you might be onto something, I'll have to look into this...
