Just a quick question.

What is the maximum number of Floppy drives you can attach to an Apple II?

For example, if you had, say, 2 Disk-II controllers and 4 Disk-II's, would it be possible to put both controllers into a IIe and use all 4 drives?

I searched the forums and never found anything in reference to this.

Actually, the max is 14 with Disk II controller cards. 2 drives each, in slots 1-7.
If you can locate a Rana controller card or 2, you can do more since they each support 4 drives.

I've run 4 5.25's and 2 3.5's on a IIe before. No problems.

So does Rana patch DOS/ProDOS to support four drives per slot, or does it phantom slot'ed the additional drives to a different (neighboring?) slot?
