Odd happening, any ideas?

I recieved my ide to sd adapter today, and decided to hook it up to my ps/2 25sx and when i turn it on, it does memory tests and floppy seek like normal, cept the screen is unreadable, like the horizontal frequency is off... any ideas why?
im wondering if the 5v is somehow leaking back through the ide cable and affecting the vga bus.

I would suspect that either the adapter or the SD card is poorly shielded and you have placed a transmitter right near the CRT emitter guns.

You could try the classic EM leakage test of putting a radio nearby and listening for an extremely strong signal being emitted. You might also want to try that test with the card and adapter attached to a different system. Plug in the SD card into an external reader and if it emits a signal that card should not be used on any system internally.

crt guns would only be affected my magnetism , pulling them off from where they would normally go. same as yoke takes care of. wouldnt affent in a way such as horiz. oscil.
