Yes, it's a typewriter but I got it for the Osborne and other 8-bit machines that would use it as an ascii printer.
Anyway, it turns on, centers itself and when I hit any key it beeps once and freezes. When I am able I will order a few replacement parts and see if I can get it going. It was basically a rescue that I paid a quarter for, to see if it worked and of course to be used as a printer. Plus it's the only piece of Olivetti hardware I own. The little interface box is especially a sweet part of the haul.
Plus if Darth Vader ever owned a typewriter this would be it.
