Hi,

Thanks again to @nelgin for making the 3rd party OZROM BIOS ROM available. I was able to use it to identify a faulty RAM chip in my Model 1. Replaced it and the memory test was then clear.

This also solved some issues with software I was having ... the CP/M Help and SuperCalc wouldn't work, for example, which makes sense.

I made a video here.

And here are some explanatory images.

You can find the ROM and manual on my Github, and maybe more places now.

Thanks for posting the video on how to use the OZROM for the memory test, I installed the 2764 daughterboard adapter you designed and burned the 1.44v + OZROM image onto the EPROM and it worked, both modes, perfectly. I'll need to design a switch to mount on the front case to switch between them, but that's for another day. Thank you!

Excellent. I accidentally put my switch on the right hand side of the front panel ... where I've seen the RCA socket for the hi-res board usually goes ... reason is that I was drilling from the back or something ... so left was right and I didn't think ... "measure twice, drill once". Anyway, it works! And who needs more than 52 columns at once??

There's a bunch of other functionality provided by the OZROM but I think the missing configuration disk/program is probably required for most of it.

Brett.

If the product gets in the way of the ScreenPAC PCB, then the obvious solution then is to build a new 80 column display PCB :)
