Dear Group,
I have been given a working Olivetti m280 with a dead EGA Paradise video card.
A capacitor has blown and it has probably damaged the near one.
Can somebody tell me which are the two capacitor types that I have to change?
Thank you very much for the support

... and it has probably damaged the near one.
Compare that 'probably damaged' capacitor to the undamaged capacitor in the photo at [here].
So, your 'probably damaged' capacitor is rated at 20V (and incidentally, made by KEMET). And the first digit of the capacitance value is a one. Maybe 10μF/20V ?
It is probably filtering a 12V line, and if that is the case, then a 16V rated part will do. But if you want to 'play safe', do what the card maker did, use a 20V rated part (or 25V if it fits).

Hopefully, someone has one of these cards and can inform you of the actual capacitance and voltage values. Some hi-res photos of the card online, might be revealing.

Of course, when you get replacements, ensure that the positive leg of the capacitor goes into the positive hole in the PCB.

Thank you. I would say 10μF/20V. I am not an expert but 106 means 10μF, right?
