First, I don't know if this is exactly the right section for this, but, I'm sure someone will move it if not.

Here's the scenario;

I was contacted today through my store site by a gentleman representing the widow of a collector who was also a close friend of his.

He wanted to know if I was interested in purchasing the collection, which consists of approximately 100 systems (not computers, systems, most with manuals and software). He mistakenly believed that I lived somewhere in California, and when I called him and told him I actually lived in Canada, he agreed that the shipping might be somewhat expensive.

After talking to him for a while, it was apparent that neither he nor the collector's widow knew much about Vintage equipment, so I suggested that I might be able to find someone through this forum that would be able to inventory 20 years worth of collected equipment so it could be posted as a lot sale on e-bay.

The collection is located in, I believe, the Bell Garden area of Los Angeles although the contact is about 12 miles outside of LA.

If anyone here is in the LA area and feels qualified to do a complete inventory of the assets, they are willing to either pay in cash or equipment, whatever the person prefers.

Contact me, and I will put you in touch with the gentleman to arrange the project.

I will be helping them with the actual logistics of auctioning the collection off on e-bay and until I see the inventory, I won't know what kind of valuation I should put on it.

If you are interested, PM me.
