Petdisk - is is still available?

Folks

Having taken cleaned up my pet, I would like to give it some exercise and put a petdisk SD card unit onto it. Is this still available and can it be shipped to Europe (I am in the UK). I sent an email to the bitfixer website and have not heard back and I dont want to place an order until I know I can get one. Many thanks.

I also thought this project was dead but a couple of days before this post, I received an email about my PETdisk being ready to ship. It seems like a small thing to some of you seasoned veterans who have collected for a long time but for me, it brings my new (to me) PET to life because there's only so many times you can type a program and watch it disappear when you turn it off :) I am very excited about its arrival.

I have just received a PETvet and PETdisk in the post. By bypassing a faulty ROM in my 3008 the PETvet has brought my machine back to life, as well as upgrading the RAM to 32K. An amazing bit of kit. I'll try to diagnose exactly which ROM is faulty at some point, but for now I'm just happy to have the machine working. The PETdisk does exactly what you expect. All of your programs almost instantly available on a micro SD card. Very useful.

So, yes, the project looks very much alive. I think the guy is just a bit busy.

Thanks all, it's nice to hear the kind words and I'm glad you are enjoying your PET gadgets. Things have been quite busy in the last several months. I joined a startup company out here so we've been keeping more or less berserk hours. I'm filling the orders as rapidly as I can, as a part time thing it does sometimes take a while so thanks for bearing with me.

Yes it is. Mike is really busy, but I did hear from him about 2 weeks ago that he would ship mine soon due to parts he was waiting on. I ordered mine probably 1-2 months ago, so just be patient. Don't know what his wait list is, though.
 
If you do not hear from him in a few weeks, it may be best to go through the ordering process on his site to get on the list. You do not send a Paypal payment until you get an email from Mike saying that he is ready to ship and he gives you his Paypal info. Like Holmes said it may take a few months, but the gadgets are worth it.
