I'm curious how long it will be until I have to stop waiting a week for my posts to show up due to moderation?

sorphin, to answer your question, I had to wait 15 posts. I joined about the same time as you.
It took me a week to achieve that quantity of 15.
I shared my experience and thoughts with Erik. Write him a PM and share. He may not be logged-in everyday, but he'll eventually read them.

I had the same question. I read everything I could read, and couldn't find that information anywhere. It's irrelevant to me though because now I'm unmoderated, or, is it less moderate? :D

Maybe it's just set to 15 now. I do think certain actions flag accounts though like an early user linking to an external url, trying to insert a picture, or adding a URL to their signature. Those are all common spam techniques but I don't know if the board software has that intelligence.

naw, the software treats new members all the same, everything is dependent on maunal labor. The software may auto-promote users after 15 approved posts.
there's no auto-flags intelligence like you described.
if someone returns after a long hiatus, they, too, may be moderated until a set number of posts get approved.
i also fist notice my signature option being available after 15 posts.

EDIT: just FYI - I hit post #30 and updated from Junior Member to Member.

Might line up with whenever the person changes from a "junior member" to a "member". I dunno. Either way, I never saw any actual mention of cause. Oh well. Moving on.
