Hey Baltimore!

ss_PDP_12.jpg

I was invited to help organize a mini-themed event in baltimore, md which will be held Feb 16th. Te event space already houses a private collection. See link to photos below.

On hand will be a DEC pdp 12 and UNIVAC 490, plus pdp8, VAXen, IBM 360 era stuff, etc. Some systems will be available to actually work on! ... Or bring your own mini computer (there is a loading doc). We'll spend the day working on mini computers but all class of systems are welcome.

I will put up a page with official details in the next day or so, but here is a quick link of photos I took of the hosting location:

Save the Date!
More details on this thread to come.

holy moses! Sure. Bob has one on site, not sure if you noticed. Did you see all of the IBM gear from later 50's and 60's?
Ah yes, on the shelf next to the PDP-8/E. I'm sure he'd be interested in seeing a tricked out HP. Yes, LOTS of unit record gear.

Wow this sounds awesome! I'll have to come down for this!
I personally don't have any minis but I'd sure still have fun coming down and learning about them.
Maybe I'll bring whatever interesting item I have when the date comes around.

sounds great bring whatever you'd like to work on...minis is the theme but not a requirement. this will also be a great opportunity for those who used to work on old minis but don't have space at home for large systems.

stay tuned for more info.

Greetings!

Attended this event earlier today. It was great meeting Bob & others. Someone suggested that I join here, as he was working on project IBM (5150?) XT board.
