Hey Folks, I just had a brillant idea! :)

Since I have the problems of lots of spam in my e-mail,
I could get people to get in touch with me using Private
Messages reducing the amount of valid e-mails in my
e-mail account. This could include newsgroups,
messageboards.

Reason I mentioned this, is because I have been
e-mailed from others, but since spam can't get onto
a web messageboard, it just seems like a good idea
& they can contact you, unlike having a bogus spam
filter thing (which doesn't seem to work). Same
for guestbooks.

And who knows, it might also encourage others from
newsgroups to use this! ;-)

Basically, it works like this to contact me for example
this is the website:

http://www.vintage-computer.com/vcforum/privmsg.php?mode=post&u=20

put a site like this into a header or signiture, it comes up
straight away for yourself! :)

Try it!!

Sounds great in theory, though you need to be a member of that particular forum - hence the vote to I hate it (You've got to be kidding me CP/M User! ;-)

Still guess it could encourage people to join the forum (nothing like having the numbers utlizing PMs! ;-)

Cheers,
CP/M User.
