It has the DB-37 External port on the back, an input FROM the floppy controller, AND both and edge connector and a pin connector for internal drives
3 Jumper blocks all missing pins, and an unsoldered 34 pin connector to external also. I know it's functional for floppy drives, but what exactly is it designed for?

This was a bizarre bit of kit. It multiplied the number of floppies available by serving as a "switch" from your normal floppy controller.

In a way it makes some kind of sense. Consider that the only thing that determines which drive is being used are the select and motor enable lines for each drive. So the data signals are pass-through.

I don't recall, however if a special driver was needed to use this thing. I think it was.

This sort of thing was used with the Cumulus external drives.

fascinating, your telling me this thing, if i stuck it into a computer with 2 floppy drives, say a 1.2 and a 1.44. and given a driver, it would know , via it's driver and driver.sys, if there was a 360kb stuck on the outside of it?
