I'd like an opinion on this... I'm torn. :p

The box has an Am5x86 in it and will likely keep having an AMD 5x86 in it forever. If I ever change it it would be to a Cyrix, so the Intel sticker will be a lie no matter what...

I put in my vote, which is to swap stickers. That brings us to an overwhelming majority who say "yep, you're crazy".

I already knew that, and between the real options it's 2 to 2. That basically means that it doesn't matter much, and when ya look at how many people called me crazy, you can see that it REALLY doesn't matter much. 2 opposed to 7 that don't seem to think it matters or are in favor - I'm going to change the sticker. A decision has been reached! :O

For the records (like anyone cares xD) the final vote at the time of judication was:
For: 2
Against: 2
You're Insane: 5

I personally just take off CPU stickers and leave them off. Same thing with "Designed for Windows 95/98/etc." stickers. It makes the case look cleaner.

However, if you could find an actual AMD 5x86 sticker, then that would be something special. I've never really seen AMD CPU stickers for anything older than the Athlon.

It had a plain "Intel Inside" sticker on it, which I removed, and placed an "AMD" sticker on it. Nothing besides the logo and the word AMD on it - the same logo used on the 5x86, so it's appropriate imho.

Well if it's already done then why the survey? ;-) I would have probably kept it original as if you wanted the original system for collector's sake you'd probably want what it came with despite I do like the AMD chips better. But honestly it could also just be laziness on my part.. or a lack of AMD stickers.

One of my machines at home has a 'AMD K6-II 3dNow!' sticker on it. It is covering the original '286' sticker. (Yes, in 2000, I pulled out a 10 year old 286 and put in a k6. Now 10 years later, I wish I still had the 286 board.)

I leave the original stickers on unless they look like hell and then I remove them completely. Any aftermarket stickers get removed (hate them) unless it is for some special setup.
