QDI V4P895GRN and bios dip 32 ?

Hi,
The bios is on a 32 dip support while the eprom for original bios is a dip 28,
why did they put a 32 dip support for eprom dip28?
what could it be used for?

Maybe optional EEPROM support.

It's a fairly common thing to find DIP packages smaller that their "footprint" on a PCB. As mentioned, the likely cause is for optional support of (possibly multiple) other devices.
