The large ICs are 16450s; the one pictured on the RG websidte has the 4-port daughterboard attached, giving a total of 8 serial ports.

Although the item in question is currently sold out, since they previously tested it (as a SCSI controller?) and found it to be working, it got to work both as a serial communication card and SCSI controller?
