Hi!,
Managed to restore a BETACAM UVW-1800P recorder, and now I like to record video (got a lot of brand new tapes :D ).
No problem with the video part but have issues recording audio.
The audio output from the Betacam is XLR but there's also an audio RCA audio jack so no problem connecting that to my monitor to playback movies.
The issue is that the only audio inputs are XLR.
And need to record the audio from my computer line out output, so build an adapter following this schematic:
The input volume is very low on the Betacam, so seems some kind of amp is needed in the middle, but tried using a normal amp board and hooking the speaker output to the XLR jacks on the Betacam but the results are very bad audio and this seem not to be a good idea.
Maybe someone familiar with this audio setup can point me to what kind of equipment I need to connect the line out from the pc to the XLR inputs on the Betacam and get good volume.
Totally lost here don't know anything about audio setups.
