Hi all

Just wondering if the adventure series was ever produced in a format that runs directly under LS-DOS on a Model IV?

Any information here would be appreciated.

Kind regards

John

It wouldn't be very hard to port some of the modern runtimes for Scott Adams to LSDOS. The C one I wrote fits in well under 32K including game file and the 6803 asm one I wrote to run them on the MC-10 even less. They'll also then run the UK games that I don't think ever made the Trash80 like Robin of Sherwood.

Well good news then perhaps. Just a little strange that such an iconic series series never made it to the later operating systems, but then again very little software appears to have made the transition.

Actually, that port appears to already support 80x24 on a Model 4. Try running the adv05/cmd file that comes with it on a Model 4. The code auto detects the model.

I have contacted the thread since it appears to lack disk save/load functionality.

Kind regards

I've got save/load now working on M4 under LDOS. There are a few glitches with the cursor, but i (think) i know what that is and will fix that as well soon.

Also, i ought to tidy the format a bit for 80 cols.
