SCSI2SD question

I use both ZuluSCSI und SCSI2SD - both working with UC17 und UC07 controllers.

CPU's 11/34 with unibus SCSI controller
11/94 dto.
11/93 with UC17
11/93 with CMD CQD-440 SCSI Controlle (quad-size QBus)

the CMD is the fastest controller and the Zuluboard is much faster as the SCSI2D.

Running RT11 or RSX11 shows the performance differences at boot time and by transferring long files.

regards
Michael

Would I be able to get some assurance that the new RP2040 ZuluSCSI works fine with a UC07? Don, you mentioned it was ok?

I have a v1.1 on order directly with Rabbit Hole Computing (ZuluSCSI's creator), but they are strongly suggesting I take a RP2040 instead, as they are winding down v1.1 production.
I'm sadly not knowledgeable enough myself (I'm still having trouble getting my 11/03 to work) to accurately ascertain that the RP2040 is all fine and PDP-11-friendly.

I've mentioned this thread to the RHC guy, and can report back to him any findings (I suggested he join VCF if he wasn't a member already, it would be terrific to have that sort of tech knowledge here).
Thanks for any help,
Steve

I can confirm that the ZuluSCSI RP2040 works just fine with my UC17 UNIBUS SCSI MSCP controller card on my 11/34.
Better performance than the SCSI2SD card I was using, about 1.7X the thruput doing block reads.
I've updated to the latest 2023-07-01 firmware now, but have not seen any significant changes from my usage.
I've ditched my old SCSI2SD boards now and sticking with the ZuluSCSI RP2040.
Besides the performance boost, the user interface (ie, disk images as files on a FAT32 SD card) and a simple text config file make it much easier to use.

I use a RaSCSI interface plugged into a Raspi 3A. Works with an Emulex UC07. Loads even the secondary bootloader from the disk image. UNIX v7m not yet starting since the hardware is not yet complete.
