Hello folks,

did you come across this here in comp.os.vms ?:

"I see Reading Museum and other organizations are celebrating the 60 year anniversary of DEC in Reading.
They want former DEC employees and customers to fill in a survey. For more information see
"

Looks like an 11/70 with RM05 disks.
The pair of BA11-K in the second rack are interesting. The upper one appears to have no power supply on the rear and be minimally populated based on the missing module guides. Could be a MJ11 with just the pair of low/high 0 stacks populated. The lower BA11-K has a full set of module guides, so could be almost anything but my WAG is a stock BA11-K used as a Unibus Extension.

In the third rack, below the tape drive and power controller, is that a TM03 MASSBUS formatter? I presume that's three 9" tapes stored on edge under it. That rack doesn't seem to be cabled to anything ...

Yep, that's a TM03 formatter.

THX. My initial reaction was that it was a SMD drive, but then I looked thrice and realized what had to be going on with that rack. It's the first time that I've seen a clean "all in one" tape setup from that era with all of the necessary components visible.

I also noticed how the racks were secured; no wheels :->. Forklift only!

The site I mentioned is also made because of several anniversaries of DEC in Galway. (There are some more very awesome pictures on that site!) The picture I posted here is just one of them.

But as I understand, DEC was already in UK ten years before the plant in Galway was opened?

Regards, Roland
