I think it is a unique chance to fill our repository with new items.
We could not pass this chance and one us, preferable in the US, should try to buy this bunch of floppies.
I think we should each of us pay his part of the total costs.
Of course, for me it's oke. What about the idea and how to arrange ?
There are few originals in there and very few that I don't already have. I'll contribute a token amount if someone want's to coordinate, but for copies I think $99 is a bit high.

From looking at the pics, I don't see anything of interest that we don't already have in the archive. But, there are a lot of disks there and may be a gem hiding in there. But it's not worth the risk at that price for me. Email me if you want to go in on it and if we get 3 or 4 of us who think it's worth it, i can try to get it and image what we don't have.

Since 8" disks have been selling for $1 - $2 each and even (much) more than that ~ $.55 per disk doesn't seem too bad even if it's only to repurpose them.

If you guys in the States recon it's worth a 'punt', put me down for $10 towards the cost
If these are missed, it could end up being tears by bedtime !
Too dear to post to the UK (I haven't a M2 in any case!)

Aren't you concerned that as they are those lousy Tandy disks they are probably unreadable by now? That is what would worry me. The BASF ones, not so much. But every Tandy disk I have fouls the head after one read operation.

Sorry, guys, i put our hat in but we lost out. :(

Hopefully, whoever won may donate the disks to the model2archive? I'll send the disks back to you after imaging if you prefer. :)

@Pete

Thanks for your effort.

Lets hope the new owner would be so kind to add the unknown disks to the model2archive.

Tandy-branded 8" DSDD disks. Many were truly awful--you hear a squeal coming from the drive, pull the disk out and you've got a clear spot where the track used to be.

Baking can help at least to recover some of the data.
