Hi Everyone
The September 2022 edition of TRS8BIT is now available from the downloads page at www.trs-80.org.uk.
I hope you find it a good read!
In this issue, there are articles from Ian Mavric who reviews the coming Tandy Assembly and goes about restoring a ‘TEC’ Model 1 service manual. Denise Goodwin and the Stem Club write about Charles Babbage. Egoitz Campo supplies the results of his latest TRS-80 Tournament, held in Spain. E.T. Fonehume and George Phillips produce an unbelievable BASIC one-liner program producing Morse Code! Harold Finch supplies another puzzle just to confuse the ‘little grey cells’. Keith Bedford writes a Hi-Res screen dump for the EG3085 printer. A ‘zap’ for NEWDOS80 and a review of 2 BASIC compilers which were written ‘in the day’ by Don Bannister and Derrick Rowe. There’s a look at some of the more interesting U.K. Ebay Tandy sales and finally, George Phillips shows the current state of play with the entries for the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ competition.

Best regards & take care
Dusty

Keith Bedford writes a Hi-Res screen dump for the EG3085 printer.
His name also appears in some programs of CP/M 2.2a for the EACA EG 3200 Genie III, maybe he even adapted the entire CP/M for this machine.
Are some information known about this?

Hi Jenz
If I remember correctly, Keith worked for 'Lowe Electronics', the main UK 'Genie' distributors.
I met him a couple of times as he did some work for Brian Pain. Brian was secretary of the UK's NATGUG
He was also a big pal of Laurie Shields back in the early 1980's
I'll email Laurie and see if he has any further information about Keith.

Thanks, Dusty ... although his name never appears on the screen I found this in a disk image of CP/M 2.2a for the Genie III:
