Sharp x68000 z - a decent alternative?

Try this hard drive image:

The x68000z site only has blank hard drive images. You would need to install the xdf images to the hard drive and then create .bat files to mount them and run off the drive. These guys took all the grunt work out of it. I use a drive image called x68000v4 which I believe was a predecessor to this one. Retrobits recently put out a video that showcased this new drive image.

The emulator guide ver131 posted above has instructions for getting hard drive images working. I think as long as you change the image linked to the same file name as the one you have on your drive now (after removing the old one first) it should just boot from there.
Thank you so much for all the info! I will take a look.

Hey, wanted to say thanks again, was able to get hds to boot on the usb drive and it appears to work. Boots up immediately. Just running into a few minor problems and wanted to pick your brain on. Some of the games in the directory when you select them give you different options to run, unlimited lives etc and you can select by choosing 1, 2 3 etc. However when I try to type any of the numbers on my wireless keyboard (which does work) does not enter a numeric character that works. However when I go to edit something like the read me file the 1,2,3 etc will show up correctly. Also, when I type anything else on the keyboard I get kanji not alphanumeric. Is there any way to change that? Thanks so much!

Glad you got it working! I have not used that specific hard drive image on my system so can’t speak to setting game options I’ll try and test it out. I ended up getting a Japanese wireless keyboard for my z and real unit and have not had issues with any characters not being recognized correctly.

Hello. I have just got my X68000Z and would like to run an image from USB. Any guide to doing this please. Thanks in advance
