I have got a shugart SA450. Can anybody help with a repair manual with wiring diagram ? The floppy drive is in a nice condition, but not working. I adjusted the revolutions on drive motor to 300 rpm with oscilloscope. I can format a diskette with my imsai but i cannot read or write anything. I have seen there are 2 holes where is a coil signed, marked with L3. I took a look to pics from sa450 pcbs in internet, all of them have this little coil.
And, is there a way to get analog service diskette to make proper adjustment ? Anybody know a shop where to buy ? CAn you recommend a good floppy test program ? Would be nice to have it in eprom to test the condition of my floppy drives on imsai.
