I tend to use the (I pay the PPFee) method, if I'm unfamiliar with the seller's reputation, it's like any insurance. DeathAdderSF is active on AmiBay, where he has 17 successful transaction feedbacks (100%), and where Friends & Family PayPal payments are usual.

That isn't the only unforeseen issue.

There's always the risk of weather damage, carrier damage, carrier loss, etc. Friends & Family won't cover for that, either.
