This is probably one of the more dumb threads here but what is the best way to stack apple ii's? I'm trying to store the and I'm afraid that they're going to fall because they're oddly shaped.

Good question. Don't know if it's the ideal method but when storing them on a shelf I'll put the square end toward the wall, and use a sheet or two of bubble wrap and/or cardboard between them. I wouldn't go more than 2 or 3 high. I think as long as the squared off end is solidly on the shelf should be ok, at least for me they have stayed there without falling for quite a while.

I typically put them on their sides next to either other, with a towel or some plastic/bubblewrap between them so they don't get scratched. I don't like stacking computers that have mostly plastic cases - especially 90's Macs.

I need to get a new machine built - but I've cut a pattern for a triangle shaped 'wedge' that straddles over the keyboard and provides 'support' for the next one on the stack. Older / thick glue bound magazines one each on top of the previous one (and don't laugh) a brick sitting on the slots of every few of them also works quite well. If you add 2 more feet to the bottom just forward of the side vents they also stack squarely. The two back feet are the real problem. 6.5mm diameter wood dowel sitting just at the front recess on the lid will also make them stand straight.
