I don't know where you are but you can either hear it on XM radio, regular radio broadcast and online through www.coasttocoastam.com. Kevin Mitnick hosting, with Steve Wozniak as the guest. Wanted to let everyone know. There are other people on and guest callers, but those are the stars.

Sounds pretty awesome, those two being my favourite old-skool hackers and all, but I need to head to bed right away. Could you or someone else provide a recording if one isn't officially made available? Thanks.

All this computer equipment, and I don't have a decent tape recorder. The website has a feature that you can pay for the broadcasts, and I'm sure someone is recording it that'll make it public. Heck, I might buy it myself.

I listened until the last 15 or so minutes till the end of the show, and it was pretty interesting hearing about how Woz made the first Apple and his method to getting there, but after a certain point I wanted something more and didn't get it. I sent a fastblast, a little messaging program the show uses asking to hear their thoughts on Linux and the threat it may or may not pose for Apple and M$ and they never went there. Thos of you familiar with the show know the subject matter ranges into the news of the wierd and secret, and this show didn't go there. I could think of endless topics that could have and should have branched out from there but it didn't. Personally, I would have liked to hear about how the Woz felt about Linux, if he's used it and about Kubuntu that runs on the Gx hardware (G3, G4, etc). It was on and on about Apple with some M$ thrown in for balance (I guess) and a bunch of good 'ol boys chilling in a radio station. Don't get me wrong, I like the first half of the show but the second half left me wanting. Wanting to hear about quantum computers, modern security, modern threats. Possible future developments, and far into the future developments woulda been nice. Maybe some paranormal experiences related to the topic at hand. Lots of untapped potential there.

I used to rate books, so I'll give this a rating.

1-I feel like I've been abducted by aliens and am missing time,
2-good for burning time on your hands and can remember it kinda,
3-okay and worth a feedback letter,
4-great and the guy should come back a lot,
5-showed me the promised land!

I give this a 3, since half the show was very interesting and the other half tapered down but it didn't totally fall off the scale of interesting-ness. Any thoughts?

So what did they talk about? Tell us, so we can know, because Wozniak is a pioneer in the computer industry.

It can be gotten by subscribing to the website. The scope was focused on Apple computers and they compared it only a little with M$. It was a 4-hour thing, so I can't really talk about it all. And subscribing isn't that expensive, just more of a deal if you have some kind of broadband. Downloading a show or four just isn't very practical over a dial-up connection. The topic was mainly Apple and how he developed the first one as a hobby. Mitnick talked a bit in the beginning about his career as a hacker at first and that was pretty neat. But it was mainly Apple's origins and the new virus threat that's out there for Apple machines.
