Struggles with an IBM Ultimedia M57

As the title says, I've been having some problems with getting my recently acquired IBM PS/2 M57 Ultimedia. I'm trying to restore the original OS2/DOS5/Win3 operating system, and I'm struggling to actually get the OS installed. I didn't get the original disks, and I am currently waiting on a caddy to be delivered to me to allow me to try to do this using a burned CD. As it stands, I am using a ZULUSCSI to simulate a SCSI CD drive. I can get a 2.88MB disk made using the files on Archive.org, but only the 1.00 and 1.01 images can actually get to the point of asking for the CD. The CANARYF1 disk gives me an internal processing error. With the 1.00 image, I am always asked to insert the proper CD even when the matching CD image is used. With the 1.01 image, I can get up to the point of it formatting my real SCSI drive, but from there I get an internal error that doesn't actually tell me anything.

Any help would be appreciated, as I am at a loss. I want to have things be somewhat as intended with this computer, rather than just installing DOS 6.22, failing to get a CD drive mounted because of weird SCSI issues, and never actually getting good sound out of it due to the M-ACPA card not exactly being good for DOS games.

I'm not familiar with that machine but 'internal processing error' sounds like either memory, cache, or thermal issues. I'd throw memtest ( https://www.memtest.org/archives ) at it for a while and see what it says. Memtest86+ V4.0 is supposed to work on 386 and up cpus. 4.2 and newer I believe require pentium or later.

Thanks for the response. I'll toss in some known good 30 Pin ram from my SE/30 to see if anything changes. As for thermals, I'm not sure if it's affecting anything, as the SLC3 processor upgrade card that my system came with has plenty of space to breathe, and the case is opened up for the sake of easy access to my ZULUSCSI

I will be uploading pictures of the various problems I am hitting in case it helps, but I can at least give the one that the CANARYF1 image gives me.

As it stands, I managed to get my system up and running by sheer luck, it seems. I tried using 42G0655.IMG this time, and for whatever reason, the Image was written to my floppy without the issues that had apparently been affecting it. I will eventually try to figure out how to get the system a little more up to date, but for now, I am just happy to have a booting OS/2 machine.
