I was finally able to get BSD 2.11 to boot on my 11/84 after re-reading old posts
from myself and replies from many. I had forgotten that the UC17 has to be told
what is connected to it. I thought I had it terminated wrong. I still have some
configuring to do to get networking fully working but it all appears to be there.
It is quite different running on real hardware vs. Simh. I have more reading to
do on how to properly configure everything. But overall the system works well.
I plan to dump this image onto a real RA92 once I have it fully working.

Hi All;
Tradde, What Language did You use to Tell the Drive to connect itself to the 11/84, I've never heard of a talking nor taking orders Drive ??
THANK YOU Marty

Welcome back!
See you at VCF-East?

Jack
I plan to go to VCF East probably on Saturday. But one of the weekend days. I'll also be at Timomium for the Ham Fest.
Hope to pick up some stuff if I know what I am looking at. And I plan to go to Bill Degnan's computer thing coming up this month.
It's been awhile and I got off the path. :)

The UC17 manual explains how to enter the SCSI controller via the ODT on the 11/84.
Eventually it enters a menu system that allows one to add/delete drives, and other things. I had my RA92 in there
but not the SCSI disk I was using for the transfer. There was a thread in alt.sys.pdp11 about this created by me
from 2006 that helped me figure this out. Same problem back then too. There is so much to learn.

Hi All;
Tradde, So its an "Intelligent Drive"..
THANK YOU Marty
I guess you could compare it to SCSI-Select on a more modern
SCSI adapter. I have a 2940W adatper on my Linux box. That's where you can set up
specific settings for the controller. Not quite the same but similar.

Well, I had the 11/84 connected to the net via my DEUNA. But I could not telnet to it. So I still have
some work to do. Could ping my router, so that was a good sign.
